Hands-On Wildlife Experience for Kids aged 8 to 15

Give your child an unforgettable school-holiday adventure as a Junior Ranger at Jirrahlinga Wildlife Sanctuary – a one-day program for ages 8–15 where they work alongside real wildlife carers, help look after Australian native animals, and dive into hands-on, educational fun.

What Your Child Will Do

Our Junior Ranger Program lets children step behind the scenes for an authentic wildlife sanctuary experience:

  • Prepare meals for birds, wombats, echidnas, emus and learn about native animal nutrition
  • Interact with dingoes, wombats, koalas and other residents under expert supervision
  • Learn about animal habitats and how Australian ecosystems work
  • Understand why protecting native species matters and how they can help

The Ultimate School Holiday Activity

Looking for educational school holiday activities? Junior Ranger combines fun and learning in an unforgettable wildlife experience. Instead of screen time these school holidays, give your child hands-on education with Australia’s incredible native species.
